A Legacy of Solidarity and Hope.
For over 40 years, the Colombian Volunteer Ladies of Tampa Bay has been a beacon of support for those who need it most. What began as a small group of visionary women in 1982 has transformed into a powerful 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to uplifting children, the elderly, and families across Colombia, Latin America, and Tampa Bay.

We work hand-in-hand with established institutions to ensure every donation reaches those who need it most.

Being a volunteer is more than just helping; it’s about being part of a legacy of hope and sisterhood.
I thank those who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to ensure that the Ray of Hope in our motto would shine in the lives of underprivileged children and elderly in Colombia and other countries with equal needs.
We worked tirelessly, we gave our time, we shared
our abilities, and we learned from each other. Most importantly we contributed to make
a difference in the lives of those in so much need.
It is amazing to feel
the enthusiasm and generosity that has characterized the spirit of this organization.
Now we are moving forward with plans for the future.
I’m delighted that the Association is still going strong and contributing to helping the
ones who need our support the most.
At that first meeting we donated $25 each to buy blankets for Las Granjas del Padre Luna in
Bogota. From that time on we were on a roll.
At the time I did not know that many years later there would still be friends getting together
following the vision imparted by a lady with a big heart and consideration for the less fortunate.
I experienced the unique happiness that comes from working for the benefit of the most
vulnerable.
